Cover sheet: Will In the Dean and Chapter Court of Lichfield in the Goods of Sarah Higitt Deceased Appeared Personally John Imms of Rugeley in the County of Stafford (Oil and Calow Man in the same?) Executor named in the last Will and Testament of the said Sarah Higgitt late of Rugeley in the County of Stafford Spinster Deceased; and made Oath, that the Esatet and Effects of the said Deceased, for, or, in respect of which a Probate of the said Will is to be granted exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of, or entitled to as a Trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, but including the Leasehold Estate or Estates for Yeras of the Deceased, if any, whether absolute or Determinable on Lives, and without deducting any thing on account of the Debts, due and owing from the said Deceases are under the value of Three Hundred Pounds of the best of this Deponent's knowledge, information and belief. This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Higgitt of Rugeley in the County of Stafford Spinster. First I direct all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and discahrged I give and bequeath unto my sister Ann Cox, Widow all my household Goods Furniture and Effects except my stock in trade clothes plate and linen in and about my Dwellinghouse in Rugeley aforesaid and of which Goods, Furniture and Effects I have already given her and Inventory signed by me for her own benefit. I give to my nephew William Cox and to my Godson and Nephew Thomas Higgitt the sum of five pounds apiece. I give and bequeath the sum of One hundred pounds and also all my Linen plate and wearing apparel unto my three sisters Mary the wife of John Imms Susanna the wife of James Hurrall and the said Ann Cox equally to be divided between them share and share alike and all my stock in trade and debts owing to me in my trade and all other my personal Estate not hereinbefore disposed of I give and bequeath amongst all my Brothers and Sisters that shall be living at the time of my decease equally to be divided between them share and share alike all which legaicies and bequests I direct shall be paid within six calendar months next after my disease. And I direct that the receipt of my sister Susanaa Hurrall alone shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor for any legacy or share of my personal estate which she shall be entitled to by virtue of this my will and I further declare and direct that my Executor shall and may with the consent of the said Susanna Hurrall retain all or any part of the legacies or share of my personal Estate herein bequeathed to her and shall and may pay the Interest and produce thereof for the separate use of the said Susanna Hurrall wherewith her husband shall not intermediate nor shall either the principal or interest be liable to his debts control or disposal and her receipt alone shall from time to time be a sufficient discahrge for the interest or principal or any part thereof respectively And in case such principal or any part thereof shall remain or be in the hands or my Executor at the time of the decease of the said Susanna Hurrall then I direct that the same shall be paid to such person or persons and in such manner as the said Susanna Hurrall by her last Will and Testament or any writing in the nature thereof shall notwithstanding her coverture give or direct the same or any part thereof to be paid and in default of such gift or direction then to the next of kin of the said Susanna Hurrall exclusive of her husband in like manner as if she had died sole and unmarried. And I hereby appoint bthe said John Imms Executor of this my last Will and testament Witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and seal the First day of may in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Two
