  Appears to be link between Rugeley and Teesside. In the 1881 census, Edmond Higgitt, born 1827, Wolverhampton, is living in Stockton (where several Higgitt's reside today). No record of an Edmond is found for William and Harriett but seems to be most likely family in area. William Higgitt listed as hatter and capmaker, 1828-9 in Darlington St, 1833 in High-green. Bridgens Directory of Wolverhampton and District, 1828-9 and 1833. William and Joseph (brothers) are only Higgitt's mentioned in Wolverhampton.
